Zebronics Launches Open Market 7.2Mbps Sonic 3.5G USB Dongle

Popular computer accessories maker Zebronics has launched its first 3G USB Dongle aka 3G/HSPA USB Modem – Sonic 3.5G in the country. There are several 3G modems available in the market from different companies and Zebronics is just added another product in that list.

Zebronics Sonic 3.5G modem supports upto 7.2 Mbps downlink and upto 5.76Mbps uplink over HSPA network as well as conventional 2G EDGE and GPRS networks. It is launched factory unlocked – supports standard 6 pin interface SIMs of any GSM operators. It is a plug-n-play device and supports Windows2000/XP/VISTA/7/8 and Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher (only support Intel platform). Other features included are SMS, phonebook and upto 16GB microSD card support.

The new 3G dongle from Zebronics is available for Rs 1999, though several online sellers are selling it for Rs 1500 to Rs 1800. But certainly the product is a late entry where the market is dominated by Huawei, ZTE and Micromax 3G dongles. Huawei and ZTE both launched WiFi enabled 3G dongles which seem to be better products if you are looking for a 3G dongle.
